Launch Dates, Award Nomination
It’s been an exciting week:
Coteau has set a launch date for the sequel to The Nexus Ring. Well, not a date exactly, but a season – Spring 2010. At the moment we’re calling the story Crow Boy, but I’m not sure whether that’s going to stick.
Orca will be publishing Witchdoctor (title still to be determined) in the fall of 2010. Like Feather Brain, it will be an Orca Young Reader.
Feather Brain has been nominated for another award, the Rocky Mountain Book Award. That’s Alberta’s Readers’ Choice Award, with voting next May.
And the howweirdcanyouget.com contest is wrapping up – I’ll be announcing the winner on the weekend.
Now I just need to find some time to write.
Baby bird
We have two baby magpies in the garden, and parents that let us know whenever we get too close by squawking and scolding. They also harass the neighbour’s cat if she comes too close.
